Tablecloths are subjected to a lot of wear and tear. After all, their primary purpose (other than decoration) is to cover and protect the table. But what do you do with a tablecloth that’s too beat up to keep putting on the table? Repurpose it!
The girls from Pure American Pageants used some of the worn tablecloths that our Rental department was going to throw away and used them to decorate their float for a parade they were in. The Clarion Kiddie Parade’s theme was “Autumn’s Quilt of Colors,” so the girls made a quilt backdrop out of the damaged tablecloths. They also used tablecloths to decorate the floor and shrubs on their float.
All of their hard work paid off! The girls were awarded first place at the Clarion Kiddie Parade for their float, and were even asked to participate in the Clarion Homecoming Autumn Leaf Parade!
It always amazes us here at Bright Settings to hear about the creative uses people find for our tablecloths. If you have a creative use for old table linens, e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org or comment here. We’d love to share your ideas and feature you or your organization in one of our posts!
